I so also run Pfsense and host a public ffxi server, if you wanted to compare settings.

Are you setup to login using your public IP address?

Yes, I am able to connect, but I notice in my logs that it says:
[03/03/17 11:15:06] Failed to locate main hairpin hack address!

I am not sure if this is contributing to your problem. My guess it is.

Which version.info are you running on your server?

Which version are you running on your client?
You can see the version number when you go to check files and select Final Fantasy XI ... version number

It sounds like the game server you were connecting to updated their version and so now your client version is out of date. Which server were you connecting to? Most likely, you just need to go through the process to update your client. There are several ways to do this. I don't know if the method I ...
