hi I just recently had to reinstall ffxi... i did it without a trail version... when you install it and start up pol, it will update. your graphics card might not be able to handle 1920x1200; try lower the graphics to 800x600 and see if that works. if that works, you can continue to increase the resolution untill you get that message again. When you get that message, just lower it one, and it should be all good.

Did you shutdown your server before you made the changes? I know when I forget to close it, and I make changes they revert back to normal.

I use mxi on a
core-duo e5400 @2.70ghz
and my cpu load after 10+ mins is only 15 - 30% and that is with the internet, server and game running on same machine; with four people connected.
