Misc. DB errors. Which files to re-input
I've been away for several months. I updated to revision 2651 and rebuilt my servers today. I thought that I fed in all the new db files, but when I rebuilt my servers and ran dsgame, I see a whole bunch of these errors: michael@carter /home/work/dsp $ ./dsgame [Status] Memory manager initialised: l...

Re: ffxi-boot crashing
It's not just the mission npcs. It's pretty much any npc I try to interact with. The curious thing is that deChelsea was able to get a signet from Crying Wind before this started happening. Here's some more server output: [20:30:14][Info] parse: 00C | 0003 0002 06 from user: Dechelsea [20:30:14][Inf...

ffxi-boot crashing
If it matters, I'm running revision 2093 on my linux box. Whenever I connect from my Windows Vista laptop and try to talk to a mission npc, ffxi-boot crashes. Windows, of course, gives me no information whatsoever. Does ffxi-boot make a log file anywhere? Last time I hadn't even spoken to the missio...

Re: PCs gone
Could you maybe add some function comments so I can find out where things I want to alter go? As it stands, I'm going to have to go through the program line by line to determine what exactly is going on to find where desired changes should go.

Reset a mission
Is there a way to reset a mission state so that DS doesn't think you've done it yet? I screwed up Bastok's Magicite mission, and now I don't know how to get it marked clear. My character is a GM if that helps. It certainly helped me screw up the mission. I don't want to lose my progress...

Where in the DB is the list of key items and their IDs fount
I'm working on my own on a program that will retrieve various bits of information from the dspdb database. I'm having trouble finding where the ids for key items like maps can be found. I have a character who is always a GM that I play as, so this information is very useful. Please help!

Re: PCs gone
I'm happy to say that as of today, DarkStar is up and running on my server box. It was a problem with the DB. Before today I couldn't create the dspdb DB user. My mysql server balked at the \' in the username. I had to call the user 'dspdb@localhost' instead of excluding the @ from the rest of the u...

Re: PCs gone
I updated zone_settings.zoneip and started the servers. Again, no characters. The Michael character does exist in the db though. I saw this output on the dsconnect screen: [25/Nov 20:14][Info] login_parse:<msulli1355> was connected [25/Nov 20:15][Debug] lobbyview_parse:Incoming Packet:<26> from ip:<...
