Please do not use another servers packaged version of Ashita. Download Ashita from our site:

Thank you for your reply atom0s.

I have tried using the specific Ashita v2 that you linked me to but alas the problem still persists. I have this Ashita installed to a different location than the one I use to play on the other servers just to be sure.
Any other ideas?

EDIT: Wait, you were helping SilentReaper weren't you? D'oh. I guess that's what happens when threads get hijacked. Any idea as to why the DSP Test Server is locked in a deadzone right now and has been for several days? Possibly longer since it could have been that way a long time before I decided to try it.

Other servers may package old versions of Ashita together which leads to people making false error reports. Which lands up getting on my nerves given that I am the lead developer of Ashita. So I am just informing you to use the latest version from our actual site and not the version(s) from various private servers that they recommend you use.

I installed your client of Ashita v2 and it's a no go. Status quo.... log in server: Check, create character: Check, select character and then word: Check, enter game: Downloading Error code 3001... Navicat: Account made and listed, Character made and listed. Still no country or xyz cords

Did a @resetplayer now the char. file shows

Tried to relog in... got to downloading data and nada Error Code FFXI-3001. I tried several times with the same end result.

I followed the build your server page to the letter... (sighs)
So any idea's? Anyone?

I might just have missed something. Or something I am not thinking about....any help would be great.

On a good note I have the DS Ashita supported client :P

If this is happening while you have another char logged in on your server pc. The server is getting confused, and thinks that you are already logged in.

make a different static ip for each pc, that you plan on connecting.

if your server is 192.168.1.103

that's your static ip for your Server pc...

Set your other PC's static ip to 192.168.1.102
and your other to 192.168.1.104

or whatever variation works for you. and then have them try to connect to the 192.168.1.103 machine.

It will then recognize them as different connections.

Thank you for answering. I do have her pc on static IP.100. No character running on IP.103 just the server. Two attempts with both ending with the same result... FFXI-3001. One with premade character (21836) the other with a newly created character (21837).

These are not problems. It is the game attempting to resolve an IP. These IPs are looked for specifically in the loader and are replaced by the ones used for the server you are connecting to. The launcher is working as it should be.
