Is there a way to reinstall the game over the top of an existing install without having to go through SE's lengthy, pointless uninstall procedure?
EDIT: I went through my registry and deleted anything and everything that contained "ffxi", "final fantasy xi", "playonline" and "playonline viewer". I was able to run the installers without them asking me to uninstall first.
I haven't found the exact registry entries that are responsible, though, as I didn't try reinstalling until after I had removed everything. Because it's only registry stuff I imagine that someone could make a script/tool that could remove them all with a click of your mouse.
