Attack of the blobs, and you

Question: Is there any chance we will get rid of these blobs in the future?
As we can see from viewtopic.php?f=16&t=21117, every time we change, it messes these up and we need to run converters. Missions are also a royal pain in the *star*.
One reason I am wondering is because of this: https://github.com/DarkstarProject/darkstar/issues/3032
Since I have no idea how to modify the blob, I cannot get my toons passed this. However, if the mission stuff was no longer blobs, it would be much easier.

Just a general question, and hopes maybe it will move away from these insufferable things...

Probably not. They are much easier to save/load and aren't that hard to modify with the right tool.

write a tool to modify them, don't try to modify them yourself.
